More new furniture to the shop!

Here are 2 new pieces we took to the shop Wed. The first one is an antique wash stand that I painted Robin's Egg Blue and the other is an antique sideboard that Terry painted creamy white then heavily distressed. Terry put new tops on both of them!

I haven't been doing a lot of painting because of the cold weather but we fixed up a paint booth in the garage with a wood stove! I've already tested it so not much painting will be going on in the basement this year! I am sharing a couple of things I got recently to "fix up".  The bed is awesome and really old!

Sage green cabinet

I found this great old cabinet at my thrift store. Of course it was dark brown with issues but I took care of that. The doors slide to each side, with 2 shelves that I left the original stained color.

New furniture at the shop

We took some new pieces to the shop last Sunday. I love this awesome big china cabinet on legs! Great piece to display all your nice glassware or collectibles.

Old Red Sled all decorated for the Holidays!

I have a couple of craft shows going on so I've been busy decorating my sleds, old doors and making primitive snowmen. I love the sleds they always are a big hit!

Bed painted and set up

My customer sent me this picture of the bed set up in her apartment! She even was able to get it to be higher so you could see all the detail. I'll have to try out her method and let you know how she did it!

Awesome white bed for my customer

I found this mahogany bed at an estate sale this fall. One of my customers had been looking for one so I let her see it. Of course I had to paint it creamy white!

Cottage White Gossip Bench

I painted this vintage gossip bench creamy white and covered the seat with the black toille. I also distressed it just a little.

Last week I took four shield back chairs that I painted black. I covered the seats with black toille.

Halloween Goodies!

Here are a few neat handmade prims I got while shopping in Gettysburg & Hanover Pa. this past Wednesday. I went to the Cash & Carry wholesale show and got lots of supplies for my upcoming craft shows.

Old Farm Table

The pictures don't do this table justice! I found this at an estate sale this summer and wanted to keep it! Unfortunately I have no where in my house to use it so here it is. I had the 2 chairs that seemed to go perfectly and Terry's tool totes, the sewing machine drawers and all the primitives just look awesome in the front of the shop!

More New Stuff!

Terry just finished this sewing machine table and I added the 2 ice cream parlor chairs to make a statement! The old market basket came from a shop in Lancaster.

New Items

Here's a neat stack of old suitcases on a vintage luggage stand, awesome antique mahogany bed, little cottage blue dresser and antique trunk.

We're still sprucing up the shop for the upcoming Holidays! Fall is finally here and we brought in straw & cornstalks to decorate. I didn't get much painted but I found lots of great smalls from my trip to Lancaster last week.

Lots to do again this week!

This summer is flying by! I have so much to do to get ready for our big end of summer sale! The shop will be putting up the big tent and it will be full of great bargains!!! I have gotten a bunch of new antique pieces that need some tlc so I'll post a couple of befores and then some afters! This is a great antique shabby white cabinet with glass doors that I'll probably touch up a little.

Terry's Benches

We have three of Terry's stacking benches ready to go to the shop Friday! The trailer is almost full! We're bringing 2 wrought iron patio sets, small tables, a drop leaf table and 4 chairs, dressers..... the list goes on and on!!!

Lots of work to get done!

I have to get out to paint before it gets really hot today! We've been having a heatwave all summer! We sold a ton of outdoor furniture at the shop yesterday!! You can find great stuff at "On A Whim" in Luckets VA.

I will be sharing some more pictures from the shop soon as I get them taken! I keep forgetting to take some before and after pictures! Some of the pieces I find nee real help! This is a really big Deacon's Bench that I found a a yard sale and painted creamy white.

I've been so busy!

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to post anything on here! I was back to work for awhile doing cleanouts, finding and painting new pieces for the shop and so on!

I'm busy getting ready for my 2 Spring Craft shows, Springthyme at Sycamore Heights & Bay Country Crafters. I have so much to do to get ready!!! I will be making prim bunnies, lamps, old windows & decorated old shutters.

Just got back from a house cleanout.

Well to today was all work and no play! We had to clean out a townhouse today but hey, somebody's got to pay the bills! Looking forward to painting some furniture to deliver to the shop next week. Of course Saturday is tag sale & estate sale day so we'll see what we can find!
